Greyhound – 1 Ash St, Ash, Aldershot GU12 6LA
A cosy pub with a courtyard which is a sun trap on warmer days, this pub welcomes dogs in the bar area and courtyard, but not the restaurant area. The bar area includes a nice space at the top of the stairs leading to the courtyard, but it only has a few tables so it may be worth booking in advance if you have your dog with you. There is parking available and some great dog walks around Ash Green Meadows which you can get to via a public footpath a short walk away.
The Cyder House Inn – Peper Harow Ln, Godalming GU8 6AN
One of the best dog friendly pubs we have visited in Surrey, this lovely old country pub has gone one step further to make dogs welcome. Visit their dog station on your way in to choose a dog bowl, various treats and a blanket for them to use. The food is excellent and has a range of unusual choices – especially if you are looking for vegan or vegetarian choices (battered banana blossom anyone?). There is a playground for children and also toys inside for them to play with. This Surrey dog friendly pub is only 5 minutes drive away from great walks at Puttenham Common.

The pub has a dog gallery which your pooch might feature in if they visit the pub, and it has a beer garden next to the canal. There is a car park and parking on road too if you need it. The menu has a range of classic options with a couple of vegan options, but they also have a specials menu each month.
The Anchor – Pyrford Lock, Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QW
This pub sits next to the canal near Woking and allows dogs in part of the pub – let them know if you have a dog when you are booking a table (recommended at weekends especially). They have a large beer garden next to the towpath which is lovely on a sunny day. The food is good, there is plenty of parking and you can walk for miles along the towpath. The Compasses Inn – 50 Station Road, Gomshall, GU5 9LA
This old traditional pub has not yet been ‘gentrified’ so still feels like an old pub should. They allow dogs, and have a beer garden which faces the road but it is separated from this by a stream, and they have a play area for children here too.
