Dog Friendly Cafes in Surrey

Below you will find a list of places in surrey where you can grab a coffee, have some breakfast or enjoy your lunch, which are all dog friendly both inside and out.


Albury Heath Cafe – Albury Sports Club, Sandy Lane, New Road, Albury Heath, GU5 9DB

Albury Heath is great for dog walks with miles of footpaths stretching away from the Sports Club where this café is situated. The café serves a range of hot and cold food and drinks and is fully dog friendly inside and out with water bowls available and doggy ice cream on sale. There is lots of free parking available and toilets on site too.  Open Wed, Sat, Sun 10:00 till 16:00.


Marianne’s Community Cafe – 2-10 Thames Street | Unit 4, Staines TW18 4SD

This friendly cafe has a great range of food choices and can also give you helpful information on local services, Welfare Benefits Advice and Advocacy support. All dogs are welcome. Open Monday to Wednesday.


Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Café – Millbrook, Guildford GU1 3UX

This café is at the back of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on the banks of the River Wey, and dogs are welcome in their Riverside Terrace Garden, with dog bowls available and doggy ice cream also for sale! For humans they offer a range of drinks and food including vegan and gluten free options, and also have free WIFI available. They are open 10am – 3pm Monday to Saturday and for one hour before showtime.

Gallery Cafe – 155 High Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 3AJ

This cafe is hidden away underneath the tourist office along the high street in Guildford, and dogs are most welcome. Open Monday to Saturday.


The Snooty Fox – 3-5 King’s Road, Shalford, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 8JU

The cafe is dog friendly outside and in their yurt. This can be accessed from around the side of the cafe so you can avoid walking through, and it has a serving area in the yurt so if you are on your own you should still be able to order quite easily.


Thyme For Tea – 14 Church Street, Godalming, GU7 1EW

A traditional English tearoom which welcomes dogs and is happy to provide a bowl of water when they visit. They offer a menu containing hot and cold items as well as cakes, and also offer homemade jams and other gifts for sale (as well as the furniture!).


The Dabbling Duck – Middle Street, Shere, GU5 9HF

Located in the centre of the Surrey Hills this cafe is perfectly located for getting out and about with your dog. They won the Surrey Life’s Tea/Coffee shop of the year award in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and welcome well-behaved and dry dogs into their cafe (Perhaps bring a towel along if its wet!).


The Plucky Pheasant – Dorking Rd, Albury, Guildford GU4 8SE

This cafe is at Newlands corner on the opposite side of the main road to the car park. It welcomes clean and well behaved dogs inside the cafe and in their garden.


Oliver’s Coffee Shop & Wine Bar – 3 Charter’s Walk, West Street, Haslemere, GU27 2AD

Just slightly off the high street in the centre of Haslemere, this friendly cafe has indoor and outdoor seating and welcomes dogs throughout, with gravy bones sometimes coming out for well behaved pooches.


Pistachios in the Park – Reigate Memorial Park, 7 Church St, Reigate RH2 0AA

This cafe is dog friendly both indoors and outside, with the benefit of being in the centre of Reigate Memorial Park which is lovely to stroll around.


Caffe Nero – Most Caffe Nero stores are dog friendly but they do recommend checking with the manager just to be sure. However we contacted the ones below in October 2019 and they all stated they allow well behaved dogs in their cafes.
