PARKING
– There is free parking along Grange Road leading up to Frensham Little Pond. During busy periods these places may be taken however. The National Trust car park at the pond is pay and display.

THE PUB – Although not a pub, the cafe at the pond provides hot drinks and ice creams. We wanted to include this walk as its so nice, but there isn’t a pub in walking distance unfortunately.

CRAZY DOG NOTES – Many of the paths are multi-purpose use and can be used for horses so watch out for these if your dog has a problem with them. The walk is away from any main roads but Grange Road is located at the north edge of the pond. Although this is a quiet road, it would be wise to put pups or less well behaved dogs on lead close to the road. There are beaches along the edge of the pond with many picnickers during warm weather so again, you may wish to put unruly pooches on the lead here.

WATER – The walk is around the edge of the pond and there are multiple spots to access the water – however please note people and dogs are not allowed in the water to protect the wildlife here – its a SSSI National Trust nature reserve.

THE WALK – Setting off from the National Trust car park, walk along the path running adjacent to Priory Lane with the lane on your left. The path steers away from the road after approx. 200m and the pond comes into view shortly after. Follow the path around the edge of the lake.

After approx. 600m the path veers away from the pond and there is a fork in the path. Take the right path along the board walk across the marsh. At the end of the board walk turn right and follow the path back to the edge of the pond. From here, you can follow the path back to the cafe with the pond on your right all the way or you can extend the walk into the heath land to the south of the pond.
